Finca Samaria has been in the same family for four generations. It started in 1934 when Gerardo Escobar Mesa and his wife Enriqueta arrived in Belén de Umbria, Risaralda — a small Colombian municipality where coffee isn't just a crop, it's the entire economy. They bought a small piece of land. Over the next few decades, Gerardo acquired neighbouring farms one by one until what had been a modest plot became Finca Samaria. Eighty years later, his descendants are still farming it.

Perfect for filter brews for a lighter, sweeter, fruit forward coffee.

Filter Brew Ratio: 1:17
Brew Time: Around 2 minutes (depending on method).

That means for every 1g of coffee, use 17g of water.
Example: 15g of ground coffee = 255g water.
Using a French Press? Try 2 heaped tablespoons (about 14g) with 240–250ml hot water.

Where it's from

The farm sits in Colombia in the Western Cordillera at altitude, with high rainfall, high humidity, and steady temperatures year-round. That consistency is what makes Colombian coffees like this so reliable.

All orders placed before 9:00am on working days (Mon - Fri excluding public holidays) we endeavour to dispatch that day. Sometimes we run out of cofee and its possible your order may take an extra day. The courier aims to deliver your parcel overnight however we frequently encounter courier delays.
